1. DEAR ABE: I am a Christian. Every Easter I am reminded that Jesus died for my sins. I ask Jesus to forgive my sins, as he is the way to enter the kingdom of God. In the Old Testament, the sacrifice of animals was used in asking for forgiveness. How do Muslims have peace about their sins and how do they ask for forgiveness? –J.C., KENTUCKY
DEAR J.C.: For a sincere Muslim, the purpose in this life is to worship God ALONE [1]. God forgives our sins if we repent to Him sincerely and reform [2]. We do not need an intermediary to communicate with God, nor an intercessor; and He knows when a repentance is sincere [3]. [4]
Relevant Quran Verses: [1] 1:5, 2:112, 6:102; [2] 2:160, 4:146, 6:54, 3:90, 9:104; [3] 2:48, 43:86, 74:48; [4] Appendix 22, Jesus in the Quran, translation by R. Khalifa.

2. DEAR ABE: Do you believe that Muhammad (peace be upon him) was the last prophet of Allah? –AHMAD, PAKISTAN
DEAR AHMAD: We believe everything the Quran states. Per verse 33:40 Muhammad was the last prophet of God [1].
Relevant Quran Verses: [1] 33:40 .
3. DEAR ABE: I am so upset that a young man who was born Muslim is now sentenced to death because he chose to convert to Christianity. I am praying every day for this man and his family. You say we as Christians, Jews, and Muslims worship the same one true God. What is your response to this outrageous practice of Muslims condemning him as an apostate? –CONCERNED IN FLORIDA
DEAR CONCERNED: We agree with you fully. The people who have condemned this man have no knowledge about their Scripture (the Quran), nor about God. God tells us in the Quran that there shall be no compulsion in religion [1]. Freedom is God's great gift to humans and is clearly spelled out in the Quran [2]. Also, there is no such concept as punishing or aggressing against apostates in the Quran [3]. Our prayers, like you, are with this young man.
Relevant Quran Verse: [1] 2:256; [2] 18:29, 43:20, 2:193; [3] 2:190, 60:8-9 .
